Want a Modern Corporate Boardroom Interior?
Creating the wow factor; it’s what makes or breaks presentations, meetings, conferences and big decisions. Take this case in point:
In late 2008 there was a meeting held at the SUNY (State University of New York) Optometry building overlooking 42nd street and Bryant Park in the heart of New York City. Nicholas Rostow , then-Vice Chancellor for Legal Affairs for SUNY, made arrangements for a delegation to meet in a large executive boardroom on the far corner of his floor. His guests were used to doing business in destinations such as Washington, London, Tokyo and Shanghai. They had frequented New York office buildings before, but today would offer something different.
As he led his visitors to the corporate boardroom Rostow picked up a remote control and made some adjustments to the lighting in the room. More subtly, he set the tone for a pleasant meeting.
First Rostow dimmed the LED lighting around the cherry-wood meeting table. Next, with one touch he made all the eyes in the room open wider as he pushed a button for automated shades to open over glass windows adorning the wall.
Midtown building facades virtually entered the room, and a glimpse of the sky above gave a picturesque feel to the room. The view of the New York gave an impression that welcomed his guests, setting the right atmosphere for a great discussion.
Corporate boardrooms are the most important place to set the right tone for positive negotiations, sales, industry evaluation or company decision-making. An effective presentation begins with the settings it’s made in.
Luckily in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and surrounding areas which see major business deals conducted every day, turning your executive boardroom into a beauty is not complicated and there are options to meet every business’ needs. From lighting and automated shades to video and audio conferencing features or display methods, an ultra-sleek modern corporate boardroom interior is available through AHRAV.
LED Ligthing
*LED lighting shows your guests that you’re savvy, up to speed and will not be slowed by changing a halogen bulb. Brightness and clarity when you need it will improve every participant’s sight in the executive boardroom when documents or materials need to be scrutinized.
Automated Shades
*In Mr. Rostow’s office automated shades turned a dark meeting room in a busy part of Manhattan into a serene setting with a treetop view. Automated shades are a nifty feature that can allow more light in or dim a bright sunny day for more serious discussions. More importantly, however, automated shades can set the right atmosphere for stellar audio visual presentations in a boardroom.
Can everyone stay on the same page please (without wasting paper)? In one wireless example, in every town council meeting across New Jersey political leaders and the public follow along using laptops to display agenda items along with additional research and data, such as calling up records and laws at the click of a button.
Laptops brought by the individual may create a sense of imbalance. LCD screens and standard monitors in front of every participant would ensure a more even meeting ground and allow for a more collaborative environment. That rarely happens in a political arena, let alone a less-than-innovative boardroom. In fact, many times a challenge is posed as simple as microphone positioning for officials and members of the public. You would think this could be gotten right from the design of the municipal building’s modern and work-oriented interior.
Government is always slowed by red tape, and the mires that delay decisions can be seen on your local access channel’s broadcast of meetings. But imagine if executive sessions were expedited by having any of the following in those boardrooms:
a) LCD monitors
b) a central control system
c) videoconferencing systems
d) audio conferencing systems
These upgrades would go a long way to making any meeting more productive. Luckily corporations like yours can be ahead of the game by installing every feature you need. This is the evolution of the world at work, and with a boardroom that’s equipped for modern communications employees can focus in on projects together and gather at a table to go over every detail.
Digital Signage
*Monitors can be installed in a table, on the walls, or at any angle that would best suit your business purposes. A full variety of content sources (Bluray, DVD, PC, or satellite) along with teleconferencing technologies will change the way presentations are made.
Video Conferencing
*Video conferencing monitors will eliminate the visual barriers created by a boardroom. Pan/tilt/zoom cameras can make sure that no inch of the room is left out (unless that appeals to your company). Encourage further participation by allowing everyone to see or face a camera angle. In fact, whoever you need to talk to will join in the same visual aspects of the meeting and integrate new elements from their end into your corporate boardroom.
Hear Every Word
*Words always travel far from an executive boardroom setting, but what about within one? The focus should be one delivering the messages as clearly and boldly as possible and enhanced acoustics to a boardroom will do just that. From speakers to subwoofers every last word should be clearly stated because miscommunication can backfire quickly.
Additional audio components such as ceiling microphones; ceiling speakers and matrix switchers will enhance the way your attendees — live or virtual – can hear what is being presented.
Control Sound and Noises
Sound-deadening methods can be employed if you want a more controlled room to talk in, especially if people know that what is said in there is strictly confidential. Improve sound inside the boardroom while keeping everyone else out of it.
*No messy cords or cables would come into play. A modern executive boardroom would feature a custom-tailored technology cavity integrated into the table, just as professional as a New York company should appear.
